Ultrasonic Flowmeter TTFM 6.1
Measures with high accuracy the flow rate of relatively clean, unaerated liquids such as drinking water, raw water, wastewater, cooling water, deionized or reverse osmosis water, oils and chemicals in fully filled pipes.
Ultrasonic transducers are mounted on the outside of a pipe without stopping the flow. Flow is displayed on the large, backlit display along with total Flow, signal strength, relay status and other diagnostic values. Internal control relays are used as flow alarms or collectors.
Connect isolated 4-20mA output to PLCs or controllers. A 128 MB data logger is standard and has a capacity of 26 million data points. Optional MODBUS RTU via RS-485 is available for connection to automation systems. TTFM 6.1 operates on pipes made from a wide range of pipe diameters and materials. For example, carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, concrete-lined ductile iron, cast iron, PVC, PVDF, fiberglass, copper, brass, aluminum and for gluing coated lined pipes including epoxy, rubber and Teflon.
TTFM 6.1 Transit Time Flow Meter is the “transit time” of ultrasonic sound pulses transmitted from one transducer to another. or “flight time” It works by measuring. Depending on the mounting configuration, the signal may pass the pipe one, two or four times. To measure flow, transit time, upstream and Ultrasonic signals traveling downstream are compared.
